This venture began while looking for parts for my own 900T. I noticed the high cost of parts, and often found used originals to be quite suitable. While trolling junk yards it occurred to me that other Saab drivers could benefit from what I find but cannot use myself.

This is a new web site, and I'm shaking out the kinks. Its a simple, low budget site, without pizzazz and high prices. I hope you find it easy to use.

The first categories listed are Relays, Switches and a few small Control Units. Following will be fuel injection ECUs and brake control units. Much will depend on what people ask for, and what I can locate.

What I turn a wrench on

I drive a single owner 1986 900 Turbo, 300k miles, picked up in Sweden (the Autobahn was a blast!). I've been its principal mechanic for the past 15 years. I'm not a trained mechanic and don't pretend to be anything other than a practiced DIYer with a well thumbed Bentley.

After reading David Blume's book Alcohol Can Be a Gas, I began to wonder what it would take to convert a Classic Saab 900T to run on straight ethanol. The Ethanol Project begins with research.

Where the parts come from

My parts are primarily harvested from wrecking yards or from private sources. I won't offer a part that seems doubtful to me in appearance or due to its source. I prefer cars that were known to be in good running condition. I prefer to see the car I take parts from. I also like crashed cars (minor side or rear impact) for some parts, because it suggests the vehicle was roadworthy. I dislike front end collisions for brake components - call me superstitious.

If a part fits my own car, I'll often road test it. Some of the simpler relays I'll test with simple bench tests. Each detailed page notes the extent of testing.

I usually cannot promise that a part is good. However I do warrant that you won't pay for a part that fails you. See the details.
